About Ledger Bookkeeping Co
Steady books. Clear answers. Zero chaos.

Hi, I'm Kristi — founder of Ledger Bookkeeping Co.
I started working in accounting before I'd even finished my degree, eventually earning my BS in Accounting while already deep in the field. In 1999, I launched what would become Ledger Bookkeeping Co, working remotely with clients long before remote work was a common — or trusted — way to run a business. That early experience shaped everything I do: how to communicate clearly without being in the same room, how to build systems clients can actually rely on, and how to deliver consistent results without needing to be constantly "on."
Over the years, my career grew alongside my business. I moved into corporate roles as VP of Sales & Business Development and later General Manager of a fully remote law firm — all while continuing to run my own bookkeeping practice. That dual path gave me a rare vantage point: I've sat on both sides of the table, as the business owner who needs clean books, and as the executive relying on accurate numbers to make real decisions.
That experience is exactly why Ledger Bookkeeping Co operates the way it does today: clear processes, predictable timelines, and zero chaos. No emergency fire drills, no constant interruptions — just steady, accurate books delivered on a rhythm you can count on.
When I'm not working, you'll find me out on the golf course, cheering on Notre Dame athletics, or buried in my fantasy football lineup. I'm a wife, mom to two grown sons, and dog mom to Duke, my Great Dane who never leaves my side. I'm also a Certified Naturalist and the author of the Ranger Sage Wild Adventures series — science-accurate, choose-your-own-adventure books for kids 7–10, built to grow the next generation of stewards for the natural world. Whether it's a ledger or a love of wildlife, I believe in building things carefully, accurately, and with a long-term view.
What I Believe
Bookkeeping Should Feel Calm
Most business owners I meet have one thing in common: their books have become a source of stress instead of a source of clarity. My job is to fix that.
I handle the numbers with consistency and care so you have the time and clarity to actually run and grow the business you set out to build. That means:
Structure over scrambling. Set deadlines, predictable deliverables, no last-minute fire drills.
Clarity over jargon. You'll always understand what your numbers are telling you — not just receive a report you have to decode.
Partnership over transactions. I'm not just entering data. I'm paying attention to what your numbers mean for your business.
